Vend68: independent discovery of a probable nova in M31
Róbert Fidrich and Tamás Tordai (HAA/VSS) report the independent discovery of a 18.7 magnitudes bright possible nova in M31. Discovered using 4x120s co-added images made with a 0.43 m Dall-Kirkham telescope at Alnitak Remote Observatory, Sierra del Segura, Spain, with Luminance filter at 2025 September 16.1295UT. This guest star has brightened significatnly by Wednesday morning, reaching 17.0-17.5 magnitudes brightness.
Coordinates of Vend68: 00 42 42.64 +41 11 24.5 (J2000.0) (K. Hornoch).
The transient has been reported as AT 2025xtl. It has been also reported by K. Hornoch as PNV J00424264+4111245.
Significantly brighter on 2025. September 16/17.

The discovery was made using the Alnitak Remote Observatories robotic telescope network, ARTA program.
